Sanju Samson Books Entire Theatre to Watch Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 With Team India
Sanju Samson books an entire theatre to watch Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 with his wife, friends and Tamil-speaking Team India support staff, while preparing for the demanding five-match T20 series against New Zealand in Christchurch.
Samson has always been among Rajinikanth’s biggest fans. He revealed that he could not watch the film on its release day because he was occupied with an event in Delhi. However, he made up for the delay by arranging a private screening the following day.
“I love watching Rajini sir’s films, and I always wait for his new movie. This time, I was a day late because we had an event in Delhi yesterday. But today, fortunately, I got the opportunity to book the entire theatre. My friends and wife are with me, and I am extremely excited to watch Rajini sir on the big screen,” Samson said.
What makes the screening more special is that Samson has also invited members of the Indian team’s support staff who understand Tamil. He confirmed that everyone in the team and support staff who knows the language would join him for the screening.
Samson’s plans to watch the film come amid a demanding international cricket schedule, with India preparing for its upcoming tour of New Zealand.
Sanju Samson Prepares for New Zealand Tour
Following the conclusion of the T20 series against the West Indies in Bengaluru, Team India had to travel to New Zealand. The schedule has left players with limited time to recover and prepare for their next assignment.
Even before the West Indies series, players had to take the field just three days after returning from Japan, where they had won the gold medal at the Asian Games. Captain Shreyas Iyer had openly spoken about the need to overcome jet lag and get adequate sleep before the match.
The challenge continues ahead of the five-match T20 series against New Zealand in Christchurch. With little time available between assignments, players will need to adjust quickly to maintain their fitness and mental readiness. Samson’s experience as a wicketkeeper-batter could prove valuable as the team navigates the demanding schedule.
Speaking to broadcasters, Samson had acknowledged that the current cricket calendar leaves players with limited time for preparation and practice. He explained that after reaching New Zealand, the team would have only one day of batting practice before the match.
Adapting quickly to the playing conditions will therefore be crucial for India in the upcoming series. As Samson balances his enthusiasm for Rajinikanth’s cinema with preparations for international cricket, the limited preparation window in New Zealand remains a key challenge for the Indian team.
